In the early morning, we went to visit Colombia University, it is quite a pretty college town. They have many great architecture building and many open spaces for students to relax and quiet places to study
outdoor. We went on a tour by Museum of Chinese in America around the Canal Street where there are more Chinese and immigrants would be living at in Manhattan Chinatown. From the tour, veterans and churches are important to Chinese history in New York. Veterans have been playing a big role before to help fight in wars no matter which side they are in. Their action are honor in the community for their sacrifices. Also churches are important in supporting the new immigrant families and giving them a belief that their life would be better in America. There are many Shanghai cuisines and we decided to eat at Shanghai Place for lunch. Later we walked around Chinatown, seeing there are many tourist shops just like Grant Street in SF Chinatown. There is Hong Kong’s Aji Ichiban where they have my childhood candies. We also went to Original Chinatown Factory where they have their homemade ice cream flavors such as sesame, egg tarts, ginger, and many more special favors. After the fun adventures and walked through Chinatown like a real tourist. We walked passed Little Italy and went to take the subway to Wall Street. We stayed at Trinity Church then we walked around Wall Street and New York Stock Exchange building. The building is under construction so I didn't have the chance to really see it. After we went back to Trinity Church. It is calming open space for propel to rest and
worship. Battery Park with large greenery open space and there is a large fountain which is fun to watch and play. We later went to Staten Ferry to have a closer look at the Statue of Liberty. It is a fun ride. After we went to New York University, which it is also another college town. It gave me a feeling of SF’s Financial District with super tall building. But I really like their park within the campus. There are people gather and sit there, it is very calming. And the fountain are so pretty there. Dinner at the famous Italian restaurant called Carmine’s in the Theatre District. Even now, I don't know how to say the restaurant's name, Car-mines or Car-min-nays or something else. But the food are great but I was too tired to really enjoy my time there.
P.s. for myself: Well done! You didn't eat fast food.
